Caring for the vulnerable is a central theme through the Bible. It’s essential to loving our neighbors—the ones next door and the ones on the other side of the world.
Help people find a way out of poverty.
Poverty is the result of brokenness. It’s not just about possessions. It’s also about relationships, purpose, and hope. But when people see themselves and their resources as God sees them, it changes everything.
Support people in crisis.
When a crisis hits, someone’s world is shattered. It’s all they can do to focus on immediate needs like food, water, clothing, and shelter. And when another person comes alongside them to provide relief by meeting those needs and showing the love of Christ, restoration can begin.

Catholic Charities – Sallisaw, OK
Catholic Charities USA works across the nation to help reduce poverty in America. In our local communities, they serve over 450 families each month with basic food, clothing and shelter needs.
Hannah House – Fort Smith, AR
Hannah House is a residential facility for young women who find themselves pregnant or have other life controlling issues. The house provides a structured program for each girl, including training in the practical aspects of living, counseling and spiritual help, as well as education and career guidance. Residents stay free of charge during their pregnancy or time of crisis where mentors become a positive influence in their life when they need it most.

Convoy of Hope
As a faith-based, international, humanitarian-relief organization strategically based in Springfield, Missouri — the crossroads of America — Convoy of Hope’s goal is to bring help and hope to those who are impoverished, hungry and hurting. Today, more than 70 million people have been served throughout the world by Convoy of Hope. They work through churches, businesses, government agencies and other nonprofits to provide help and hope to those who are impoverished, hungry and hurting.
Samaritan’s Purse
The mission of Samaritan’s Purse is to follow the example of Christ by helping those in need and proclaiming the hope of the Gospel. For more than 40 years, Samaritan’s Purse has been a leader in local and international disaster response. TheBOD helps to fund relief efforts domestically and abroad.
